On January 7th, Southern California was set ablaze with a series of destructive wildfires. According to www.fire.ca.gov The Palisades, Eaton, and Hughes fires destroyed over 40,000 acres of property across Southern California. In the wake of disaster, many non-profit organizations were ready and answered the call to action. Twelve professional sports teams in Los Angeles worked together and pulled resources to provide aid to fire victims across LA County.

Angel City FC, the Angels, Chargers, Clippers, Dodgers, Ducks, Galaxy, Kings, LAFC, Lakers, Rams, and Sparks have pledged a combined donation of more than $8 million to support victims in need. The funds will help those fighting the fires and the non-profits leading the relief efforts in Los Angeles, including the American Red Cross, the California Fire Foundation, the Los Angeles Fire Foundation, and the Eaton Canyon Fire Relief & Recovery Fund.

In addition, all 12 professional teams have partnered with Fanatics to donate and distribute more than 75,000 items, including sports apparel, shoes, school supplies, and necessary essentials, to families affected by the fires.

So far, Shoes That Fit has provided over 21,000 pairs of shoes and 5,000 pairs of socks to evacuation centers, emergency shelters, and fire relief efforts across Los Angeles County. These efforts have included the delivery of shoes to the Pasadena Convention Center and large-scale distributions through our partnerships with Baby2Baby and the Assistance League of Los Angeles. We also teamed up with the Los Angeles Rams for the L.A. Strong Relief Event at SoFi Stadium and joined the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation for Pasadena's Robinson Park Relief Event. Together with our partners, we’ve helped thousands of children and families affected by the fires step forward with dignity, comfort, and care.
