The wonderful folks at Newport Group, a leading provider of retirement plans, insurance and consulting services, have been working with Shoes That Fit since 2012. In that time, employees at the company’s offices nationwide have helped more than 3,600 children get new shoes, jackets and socks!
Alexandra Tchong is the company’s lead organizer for its Shoes That Fit efforts. She says her colleagues enjoy participating so much that many fundraise throughout the year to get ready for their Shoes That Fit programs.
“It’s been exciting to see more and more coworkers jump in to help each year,” said Tchong, an Executive Assistant with the company. “It’s even better to see the number of children we help grow each year. I see no end to our partnership with Shoes That Fit.”
“At Newport Group, we believe it is important to give back to our communities” said the company’s Chief Executive Officer Greg Tschider. “With Shoes That Fit, employees in all of our offices can make a direct impact in the life of child who lives in their city.”
